After losing the toss, Team India was put into bat. But this time around, the Indian openers came with intent. They took on the Pakistani pacers from the very beginning. Rohit Sharma started it with a six in the first over from Shaheen Afridi. Then, it was Shubman Gill all over.

Gill smashed Shaheen for three fours each in consecutive overs. Both Indian openers looked good and added consecutive 100-run stands. India had an opening partnership of 121 runs in just 16.4 overs. Rohit completed his 50th ODI fifty with a six. He got out to a long-off boundary in trying to hit a big shot.

Overall, Rohit Sharma is third on the elite list of batters with the most sixes in ODI cricket. He has hit 284 sixes in 240 innings so far, only behind Shahid Afridi (351) and Chris Gayle (331). Meanwhile, Shubman Gill also scored a 52-ball 58 in the inning. India will restart from 147/2 in 24.1 overs on the reserve day.
