The Sunrisers Hyderabad are one of the few teams to have won the Indian Premier League in their first IPL Final only. The SRH team owners bought the Hyderabad-based franchise ahead of the 2013 edition of the IPL. Before that, Deccan Chargers were a part of the world’s grandest T20 league.
The Deccan Chargers were one of the eight franchises to join the IPL in 2008. They finished last in 2008, but then, they bounced back and won the championship in 2009. Unfortunately, because of some off-field disputes, the BCCI decided to terminate the Deccan Chargers from the IPL.

However, in 2014, there was a mega auction, where Hyderabad formed a new squad.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad have been one of the most consistent franchises in the last few IPL seasons. Playing under the leadership of David Warner and Kane Williamson, this team has made it to the playoffs in each of the last five seasons.
