Openers: Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton (WK)
Both the South African cricketers were good. Not much was expected from Markram. However, he delivered for LSG. Ryan will have a bright and long future with the Mumbai Indians.
Middle-order of this IPL 2025 playing XI: Devdutt Padikkal, Ajinkya Rahane (C), Aniket Verma
Not many expected DDP and Rahane to have the season that they did. Especially Padikkal got to play a few impactful knocks. Rahane led KKR and also produced some fine innings. Aniket was an important find for SRH. He has a strong power-hitting base and will only improve in the coming days.
All-Rounders: Romario Shepherd and Mitchell Santner
It is a shock that both these cricketers went at just their base price. Shepherd contributed well to RCB’s title charge while Santner was impactful with his bowling for the Mumbai Indians. Santner happens to be one of the best left-arm spinners in the game right now. He will have a key role to play for MI in the coming seasons.
Bowlers in this IPL 2025 playing XI: Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi, Jaydev Unadkat and Ashwani Kumar
Prince Yadav and Digvesh Rathi were brilliant in IPL 2025 for LSG. Especially the latter was consistent. Unadkat did well with his experience while Ashwani grabbed a few chances while bowling around the likes of Bumrah and Boult.
