Speaking to ICC, Watson described the captaincy style of Virat and labeled him as a super human. Watson and Kohli played together in the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Indian Premier League. The Royal Challengers Bangalore finished runners-up in 2016 but could not impress much in 2017. Watson even captained the Bangalore-based franchise when Kohli was unavailable.

Talking about Kohli’s captaincy approach, his former RCB teammate Shane Watson said on the ICC Review:

“For me, I believe Virat is a super human, he knows how to push players around him. It was a great experience for me to work with Virat at RCB.”

MS Dhoni has got ice running through his veins: Shane Watson

Next, Shane Watson spoke about MS Dhoni’s leadership skills. He is famous as ‘Captain Cool’ because of his ability to keep calm and take the right decisions even in the pressure situations. Watson described exactly the same way and said:

“MS Dhoni has got ice running through his veins, his ability to take pressure out of a team environment, he trusts his players, he makes sure everyone has faith in their abilities.”

Dhoni was the captain of the Chennai Super Kings when Watson played his last-ever match. He retired from all formats of cricket after the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. Watson played three seasons for the Chennai Super Kings and won the title with them in 2018. In 2019, he played an excellent innings in the IPL Final, but his effort was not enough to help the Chennai Super Kings win the championship.
