On Friday, November 5, Indian cricket team registered their biggest ever victory in T20 International cricket as they defeated Scotland in their 4th T20 World Cup 2021 match. On the same day, Indian captain Virat Kohli cut his birthday cake as he turned 33.

The Indian cricket team needed a big win against Scotland to keep their hopes of a semi-final berth alive. First, it was the bowlers who restricted Scotland to just 85 runs. Then it was KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma who did the rest of the job as India chased down the target in 6.3 overs.

After the match ended, Suryakumar Yadav, who hit the winning run for India, shared a story on his Instagram account in which Virat Kohli is clearly seen completely bathed in cake.

India in T20 World Cup 2021 So Far

The Indian team didn’t had the best of star in the T20 World Cup 2021, losing their opening 2 matches to Pakistan and New Zealand. But they came back strong to register a 66 runs win over the Afghanistan cricket team. And they just continued the form in the Scotland match.

Virat Kohli had so far had a very bad luck with the toss, but on Friday, the coin flipped on the Indian skipper’s favour, and Kohli decided to ball first.

The Indian bowlers gave no chance to the Scotland batsmen to build a partnership as they kept taking wickets in regular intervals and at the end, they could only score 85 runs. Mohammad Shami answered the critics with his terrific bowling as he picked up 3 wickets, Jadeja maintained the same figure. Bumrah got 2 while Ashwin managed 1 wicket.

Coming to batting, India needed to chase down the target of 86 run in 7.1 overs to overtake Afghanistan in the net run rate.

Indian openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma had nothing in mind except for attack and attack and just attack as India completely chased down the target in 6.3 overs.
