Former Mumbai Indians captain Harbhajan Singh has named the two players that the Indian cricket team should have in the squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Singh, who won multiple IPL trophies during his career, has now retired from all formats of cricket and works as a commentator for Star Sports.
During a discussion on Star Sports while covering IPL 2022, Harbhajan Singh gave his views on the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. The Indian cricket team will start as one of the favorites to win the competition. Last year, the Indian cricket team did not make it to the semifinals, but this year, the Men in Blue will be keen to bring the trophy home.
The batting department of the Indian cricket team did not play as per the expectations during the first two matches of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Hence, Harbhajan Singh has suggested that veteran wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik should receive a spot in the Indian squad for the mega event in Australia.

Here’s what Harbhajan Singh had to say while discussing the probable players who could play the finisher’s role for the Indian cricket team in ICC T20 World Cup 2022:
“If I were a selector I would have given him a ticket to Australia for World Cup T20 and let him play for India as wicketkeeper and batsman because he deserves that. If ever the Indian cricket team needs the best finisher then it should be Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya as they make a very powerful side.”
