Undoubtedly, Dhoni is one of the best captains to have graced the game of cricket. He is the only captain to date to win all three ICC trophies and even led the Indian side to the No.1 spot in the ICC Test ranking.

However, in his tenure as a captain, the 41-year-old cricketer made some decisions which didn’t make everyone happy and sparked alleged rifts with his teammates. In this article, we will look at such names who allegedly had a rift with the Ranchi-based cricketer.

    1) Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir was a vital cog in India’s success in T20 World Cup 2007 and World Cup 2011. However, the left-handed batter made the headlines several times for his controversial statements against MS Dhoni. It is evident that all was not good between both the cricketers.

    2) Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag was also a part of winning teams of both the major titles under MS Dhoni’s tenure as a captain. But Dhoni’s rotation policy decision during the Commonwealth Bank tri-series in Australia in 2012 soured the relationship between both the parties. However, later Dhoni clarified that he is on good terms with the opening batter.

    3) Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh was awarded the man of the series award in T20 World Cup 2007 and 2011 World Cup. But things didn’t work out for him after he came back defeating cancer. He had lost his charm and didn’t find even backing from the team management. Due to this, his father lashed out at MS Dhoni for controlling the selections and didn’t support his son. However, a couple of years later, the left-handed batter cleared the air through his tweet.
