We are just a few months away from the start of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League. The IPL 2024 will see all ten teams, with some new players and some uncapped cricketers also trying out their skills. The IPL 2024 auction was a record-breaking one as Mitchell Starc grabbed a deal worth INR 24.75 crore from the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, there were a few players who got a great deal from the IPL teams. A total of 72 players were sold to the team. However, the tournament is likely to start in a couple of months. There will be some veterans who will be showcasing their skills. Meanwhile, some teenagers will also be taking part in the competition. 3. Shaik Rasheed (CSK) – 19 Years and 125 Days
Born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Shaik Rasheed made headlines when the five-time champion Chennai Super Kings bid for him. The right-hander is part of CSK for the coming season. Born on September 24, 2004, he is currently 19 years and 125 days old and the third-youngest in the competition. Rasheed has played 10 T20s and scored 296 runs at 42.28 with a strike rate of 137.67.
2. Noor Ahmad (GT) – 19 years and 24 days
Afghanistan have produced many brilliant spinners in this game. Noor Ahmad is certainly one of those. The left-arm wrist spin made his debut for the Gujarat Titans in the 2023 season and impressed everyone. He played 13 games and took 16 wickets at an economy rate of 7.82. The franchise signed him for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2023 auction. He will be back playing for GT in the IPL 2024. Currently, he is 19 years and 24 days old.
1. Arshin Kulkarni (LSG) – 18 years and 346 days
Maharashtra all-rounder Arshin Kulkarni is part of India’s U19 squad for the ongoing U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. He is a top-order batter who can also bowl at medium pace. The Lucknow Super Giants signed the all-rounder at the auction for his base price of INR 20 lakh. He was born on February 15, 2005, and is currently 18 years and 346 days old.
