India recorded one of the biggest wins in ODI cricket history earlier today at the Wankhede Stadium. In a rematch of the 2011 World Cup Final at the same venue which hosted the grand match 12 years ago, India bulldozed Sri Lanka today.
It was a good batting wicket in Mumbai, and half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill helped the Indian team post 357 runs on the board. Zimbabwe beat USA by 304 runs in a Qualifier match of the 2023 World Cup played earlier this year. Playing in home conditions, Zimbabwe scored 408 runs in the first innings. In reply, USA only managed 104 runs.
2. One of the biggest wins in ODI – 309 runs, AUS vs. NED
A few days ago in Delhi, Australia set a new record for the biggest victory in terms of runs in a ODI World Cup match. They crushed the Netherlands by 309 runs. Batting first, Australia scored 399 runs and then bowled the Dutch team out for 90 runs.
1. India beat Sri Lanka by 317 runs
India bulldozed Sri Lanka in the third match of their bilateral series which happened earlier this year in Trivandrum. Batting first, India scored 390 runs in 50 overs. Chasing 391 runs, Sri Lanka were bowled out for only 73 runs.
