In the 2023 ODI World Cup, India made history by winning 10 matches on a trot on home soil. They beat all nine teams in the group stage and then defeated New Zealand in the semifinal before losing against Australia in the final.
4. Longest winning streak of India in ICC events – 12 wins in 2012-14
This streak started from Super 8s stage of 2012 T20 WC, with India defeating Pakistan and South Africa. In 2013, India remained undefeated in Champions Trophy, and in 2014, India were undefeated in T20 World Cup until the final against Sri Lanka.
3. Australia – 13 wins in 2003-04
Australia remained undefeated in the 2003 ODI World Cup, where they ended as champions. In 2004, they were undefeated until the semifinals of Champions Trophy against England.
2. Australia – 14 wins in 2023-24
This is an active streak. The Aussies won nine consecutive matches in the 2023 ODI World Cup to end the tournament as champions, and now they have won five matches on a trot in 2024 T20 WC.
