SENA Countries are the toughest conditions for Asian batters to succeed, especially in Test cricket. Just like the foreign batters struggle to make an impact in the spin-friendly subcontinental conditions, the batters of subcontinent struggle when they place in the pace-friendly conditions of South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia.
Wicketkeeper batters rarely score big in the SENA countries. However, here’s a list of the top eight Asian wicketkeeper batters with the most Test hundreds in those nations.
8. KL Rahul scored his maiden Test hundred in SENA countries as wicketkeeper today
KL Rahul has multiple Test hundreds outside India, but today he scored his first hundred as a wicketkeeper in South Africa. Rahul played a fantastic knock against South Africa at SuperSport Park.
7. Mushfiqur Rahim – 1 hundred in SENA countries

6. Dinesh Chandimal – 1 hundred in SENA countries
Dinesh Chandimal of Sri Lanka scored one century in SENA nations while playing as a wicketkeeper. It came against England at the Riverside Ground in May 2016.

Another Sri Lankan wicketkeeper to feature on the list is Prasanna Jayawardene. The right-handed batter scored 112 against England at Sophia Gardens in 2011, but Sri Lanka lost that Test by an innings and 14 runs.
4. Romesh Kaluwitharana – 1
Romesh Kaluwitharana scored only three Test hundreds for Sri Lanka, but one of them came in SENA nations. It was against New Zealand at Carlsbrook in 1997, where he scored 103 runs off 103 balls.
3. Amal Silva – 1
Amal Silva only played nine Test matches for the Sri Lankan cricket team. He played a brilliant knock of 102 runs against England at Lord’s back in the year 1984.

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Moin Khan was the first Asian wicketkeeper batter to record more than one hundred in Tests in SENA nations. One came against England at Headingley in 1996, and then in 2003, he scored 137 against New Zealand at Seddon Park.
