As all the members of the cricket universe would know, India is currently battling against Australia in the 2nd ODI at the Saurashtra Cricket Association in Rajkot. The fans have their eyes on this match because Australia had defeated the Men in Blue by 10 wickets in the first ODI. In an unexpected turn of events, all of India’s strategies failed to trouble the Aussies.

The 2nd ODI is taking place at a venue where India has never won an ODI match. They had lost their first match at Rajkot against England by 9 runs and then South Africa came at this ground and overcame the challenge from the home team.

The luck favoured Australia once again as captain Aaron Finch won the toss in Rajkot. He elected to field first as India got the challenge of posting a total on the board once again. This time though the home side posted a mammoth score in the first innings as half-centuries from Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan took them to 340 runs in 50 overs.

However, the highlight of the innings was when Rohit Sharma slapped a short delivery from Kane Richardson towards the boundary line. Although Rohit did not play a big innings, he stayed in the middle for quite some time. He lost his wicket to Adam Zampa in the 14th over but in the preceding over, he hit perhaps the best shot of the new decade.

Fast bowler Richardson bowled a short ball and Rohit took no time to get under the ball and strike it towards the boundary line. This tennis forehand shot has gone viral on the internet so, even BCCI shared it on its official website.
