The Rajasthan Royals opener certainly had a dream-come-true moment last night. CSK skipper and Indian Cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni autographed his bat after yesterday’s game in Abu Dhabi. It was a day to remember for Jaiswal as he not only got an autographed bat off the pitch but also had a memorable day on the field as he scored a half-century while chasing a handsome total of 190 runs. The youngster scored a blistering 19 balls half-century against the Super Kings in Abu Dhabi last night.

Yashasvi played a quick knock of 50 runs with six boundaries and three maximums. KM Asif halted his stay on the pitch with the first ball of his spell. However, Jaiswal and Evin Lewis had a perfect day at the office as they built a 77 run partnership off just 32 balls. It was just what the Royals required to chase the highest total of the UAE leg this season.

In a video posted on IPL’s official website, Jaiswal said that he knew it was a batting wicket because the target set to chase was 190. He was just punishing the loose balls which could help his team chase the target.

You know you have done a handy job when you hear praises from your captain, and Jaiswal certainly put in a shift last night. Sanju said that Jaiswal and Lewis’ start sealed the game in their favor.

Jaiswal took to Twitter and expressed, “What a moment meeting the legendary @mahi7781 sir and greatly elated by getting his signature on my bat. Always an inspiration!🙌🙏”

In this year’s IPL, Jaiswal has scored 237 runs at an average of 29.62 and a strike rate just above 150. He is also the second-highest run-scorer for his team this season after Samson, who has scored 480 runs.
