Nitish Rana surprisingly decided to open the bowling for the Kolkata Knight Riders last night in their IPL 2023 match against the Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens. It looked like Rana wanted to trouble the left-handed Yashasvi Jaiswal with his off-spin.
However, the move backfired as Jaiswal went hard on Rana in the first over. He whacked two sixes off the first two balls. In the end, 26 runs came off the first over bowled by Rana.
2. Virat Kohli vs. Varun Aaron, 2019
Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli is the only batter in the Indian Premier League history to have smacked two sixes off the first two balls of a match. It was in the first innings of a match between RCB and RR that Kohli hit Varun Aaron for 2 sixes. The incident happened in the 2019 season of the Indian Premier League.
