Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets in the first game of IPL 2022. It was CSK’s poor batting that led to their loss. Hence, it is likely that the franchise would make a few changes for the next game against Lucknow Super Giants on 31st March at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. On that note, in this article, we take a look at two changes CSK must make for their next game against Lucknow Super Giants.

1) Moeen Ali for Mitchell Santner

Moeen Ali for Mitchell Santner is one of the changes CSK must make for their next game against Lucknow Super Giants. The English all-rounder had missed the first game as there was a delay in his Visa process. His absence was visible in the first game as CSK failed to attack the spinners in the middle-overs. Hence, it is a no-brainer that Moeen will come into the XI for the next game. It is said that his Visa issues have been cleared and hence, Moeen Ali is available. Santner will be the player who will have to make way because Moeen Ali is an upgrade on him in the batting department.

2) Rajvardhan Hangargekar for Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube did not do well in the first game. Although CSK is usually known for giving a long rope to players, it might not happen for Dube. Since Santner is likely to make way for Moeen, CSK will need an extra bowler. They might go with the young Hangargekar who can take the new ball just like Deepak Chahar. He can also smash a few big hits in the lower order, which will further improve the batting depth of the XI. Therefore, the youngster could get a chance. If CSK feels they need an extra spinner, Prashant Solanki could get a look in.
