The India vs Zimbabwe 3rd T20I match will happen this Wednesday in Harare. It is a five-match series between the two nations, and at the moment, it stands square at 1-1. Zimbabwe shocked India with a win in the 1st T20I, but Abhishek Sharma’s magnificent century helped the Men in Blue win the second T20I match.
The next phase of the series will be quite interesting now, but India will be the favorites because they have received an extra boost. Three players from the T20 World Cup squad, namely Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal, will join the Indian squad in the Zimbabwe tour for the next three T20Is.
With some changes happening in the squad, here’s a list of two changes which India may make for the third T20I against Zimbabwe on Wednesday.
1. Sanju Samson should play for India in 3rd T20I against Zimbabwe
Sanju Samson had a phenomenal IPL season with the Rajasthan Royals. He made the cut to India’s T20 World Cup squad as well, but due to Rishabh Pant’s presence, Samson did not get a single game in the main tournament.
The Kerala-based wicketkeeper should get some game time against Zimbabwe now. Dhruv Jurel got a chance in the first two T20Is. He had a golden chance to help India win the first T20I, but he could not do so. He should make way for Samson now.
2. Shivam Dube in for Sai Sudharsan
It might be a little harsh but Sai Sudharsan is not present in the Indian squad for the next three T20Is against Zimbabwe. Sudharsan received his maiden T20I cap on Sunday for the 2nd T20I. He did not get a chance to bat in that game.
Since Shivam Dube has a great record in the middle-order, India will pick him in the playing XI straightaway. He will also give an extra medium pace bowling option to captain Shubman Gill.
