Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) became the second team to qualify for the IPL 2024 Final last night at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The Orange Army defeated the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 to become the second finalist of the tournament.

The grand final will now happen at the MA Chidambaram Stadium as well. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in a rematch of the Qualifier 1 match. Kolkata won that game in Ahmedabad, and now they will be keen to replicate that performance against Hyderabad in Chennai again.

Although SRH beat RR at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, they must make the following two changes for the IPL 2024 Final to win their first trophy in eight years.

    1. Glenn Phillips must be unleashed in the IPL 2024 Final

Aiden Markram’s batting form has been quite disappointing this season. He has been in and out of the team, and last night, Pat Cummins recalled him for the Qualifier 2 match against the Rajasthan Royals. Playing against RR, Markram could score only one run off two balls.

It will be better if the Sunrisers Hyderabad drop him from the match squad for the final. Someone like Glenn Phillips, who is also a wicket-taking bowler, should be unleashed against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

    2. Washington Sundar in for Abdul Samad

The final will happen at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, a venue where Washington Sundar has played so much cricket. Fans saw how much the wicket helped the spinners in Qualifier 2. Hence, bringing in Sundar for Abdul Samad, who has let the SRH management down in the two Qualifiers will be a wise move.
