Legends League Cricket 2024 is about to begin soon. It is the third edition of LLC, and there are six franchises competing in the tournament. The names of the six teams are Konark Suryas Odisha, Gujarat Greats, Urbanrisers Hyderabad, India Capitals, Manipal Tigers and Southern Superstars.
The tournament will take place across Surat, Jodhpur, Srinagar and Jammu over the next few weeks. In case you didn’t know, the first-ever Legends League Cricket auction happened a few days ago, and several retired cricketers went under the hammer on that evening.
The funds of all franchises have increased in LLC, which allows them to bid more for the talented players. Interestingly, the following two foreign players ended up earning bigger deals in Legends League Cricket 2024 Auction than they ever did in the IPL.
1. Isuru Udana will earn 61.9 lakh in Legends League Cricket 2024
Former Sri Lankan all-rounder Isuru Udana was the most expensive buy of the LLC 2024 Auction. The left-arm fast bowler will turn up for the Urbanrisers Hyderabad team, who spent INR 61.9 lakh to acquire his services at the auction.
It is pertinent to note that Udana played only a solitary IPL season in his career. It was in 2020, when he turned up for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team under Virat Kohli’s captaincy. At that time, Isuru’s salary was INR 50 lakh.
2. Chadwick Walton will earn 60.3 lakh in LLC 2024
West Indies-based power-hitter Chadwick Walton registered for the IPL Auction on many occasions. However, not a single franchise showed interest in his services, and Walton ended up earning 0 rupees in his entire career from the IPL.
Walton is in demand in the Legends League though. Urbanrisers Hyderabad went all out for the six-hitting machine and acquired his services for INR 60.3 lakh. Notably, he was the second most expensive buy at the LLC 2024 Auction.
