US Masters T10 League culminated yesterday at the Central Broward Regional Park in Florida with a thrilling final between the New York Warriors and the Texas Chargers. Top names of world cricket like Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Khan, TM Dilshan, Richard Levi, Kamran Akmal, Abdul Razzaq, Thisara Perera and Ben Dunk participated in the big game.

New York Warriors scored 92/6 in the first innings. Chasing 93 to become the champions, the Texas Chargers started well and at one stage, they needed 13 runs off 20 balls with seven wickets in hand. The Chargers were the favorites to win the trophy, but they suffered a dramatic collapse and got all out for 92 runs.

The match went into a Super Over. Texas batted first and scored 15/1 in the one-over eliminator. In reply, the New York Warriors scored 13/0 and lost the match by two runs. With the tournament ending, here’s a list of two such Indian cricketers who won the IPL and US Masters T10 League.

1. Pragyan Ojha won both IPL and US Masters T10 League

Former Indian left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha was a member of the Texas Chargers squad in this mega event. He won the IPL twice – once with Deccan Chargers in 2009 and then with Mumbai Indians in 2013. After winning the US T10 tournament, Ojha said:

“I think it was all about the attitude that the guys had throughout the tournament. I think you’ve got to be very confident, that’s what the T10 format is about. The batters are going to go after you.”

2. Siddharth Trivedi

Former Indian uncapped pace bowler Siddharth Trivedi won the inaugural IPL season with the Rajasthan Royals. Trivedi has moved to the United States now. He was a member of the Texas Chargers team that won the championship.
