The involvement of women in the cricket world has increased a lot in recent times. Earlier, it was rare to see women getting the same payment as men’s cricketers, but now boards like BCCI and NZC have ensured that the match fee is same for men’s and women’s cricketers. Also, leagues like Big Bash League, Caribbean Premier League, Pakistan Super League and Hundred have a women’s tournament.

On top of that, there were two seasons of Legends League Cricket earlier this year in Oman and India, where female umpires officiated the men’s matches. The number of women’s commentators has increased as well, and now IPL franchises are also selecting women as support staff members.
