The PSL Draft 2023 and IPL Auction 2023 happened earlier this month. The fate of hundreds of cricketers from across the world was decided by the team owners of the two leagues. There were some common players who earned contracts in both the tournaments.

However, there were also some common players who found no interest at PSL Draft 2023 and IPL Auction 2023. While some were expected to remain unsold and unpicked, the following four big names were surprisingly ignored by IPL and PSL teams.

    1. Dawid Malan does not have IPL and PSL contracts

Former world number one batter Dawid Malan’s stocks have fallen considerably in the last few months. He was once in demand in both the leagues. However, neither the Indian Premier League nor the Pakistan Super League franchises showed interest in his services for the 2023 season.

    2. Taskin Ahmed does not have IPL and PSL contracts

Bangladeshi fast bowler Taskin Ahmed was ignored by the franchises as well. Ahmed has done well in white-ball cricket for Bangladesh. However, it looks like the franchises were skeptical in bidding for him because of his probable unavailability during the season.

    3. Mohammad Nabi

Former Afghanistan T20I captain Mohammad Nabi is reckoned by many as one of the best T20 all-rounders in the business. However, Nabi does not have any contracts from the Indian Premier League or the Pakistan Super League for the 2023 season. Nabi recently gave an interview, where he shared his experience of playing for SRH and said:

“I have no idea what happened to the team in the last two years, who did it, or why. Everything changed, from team composition to coaching staff and environment.”

    4. Rassie van der Dussen

South African batter Rassie van der Dussen also could not earn a contract at the two events. He played for the Rajasthan Royals last season but could not impress much.
