Gujarat Titans made their IPL debut in 2022, but in just three years, they have seen it all. Be it dominating the tournament and winning the trophy, losing a final on the last ball or even finishing in the bottom half of the standings, the Titans have had quite the journey so far.
One of the major reasons why the Gujarat-based franchise have been so successful is because of the Indian talent present in the squad. The talent scouts have done a great job to find new talents and give them a chance to showcase their skills at the grand stage.
Notably, the following two Indian players earned their maiden T20I call-up after a phenomenal performance for the Gujarat Titans team.
1. Sai Sudharsan has been a main batter for Gujarat Titans in IPL
Tamil Nadu-based left-handed batter Sai Sudharsan has been the silent assassin of the Gujarat Titans team. Fans will always remember the two knocks he played against the Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in IPL 2023 Final and IPL 2024 league stage.
Sudharsan made his ODI debut for India earlier this year against South Africa and scored two half-centuries. Now, he is all set to be a part of the T20I squad for the first two matches against Zimbabwe, starting this Saturday.
2. R Sai Kishore
Another Tamil Nadu-based cricketer to feature on the list is left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore. The left-arm spinner played a major role in Gujarat Titans’ championship win in 2022. He did not get a chance to play in IPL 2023, but he was picked in the Indian squad that ended up winning the gold medal at Asian Games 2023. Sai Kishore played three T20Is and picked up four wickets in the Asian Games tournament.
