Sunrisers Hyderabad made history tonight as they set the highest team total in franchise leagues history. With this performance, SRH broke the record of RCB, who scored 263 runs in the 20 overs of their match against Pune Warriors.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad had opponents from the same state. Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians hail from Maharashtra only. Interestingly, the following two cricketers were a part of that famous RCB vs PWI match in 2013 as well as the SRH vs MI match in IPL 2024.

    1. Jaydev Unadkat played for RCB in 2013 and made debut for SRH in 2024

Left-arm fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat is famous for his brilliant bowling performance for Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2017. He then a forgettable stint with Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. Now, he has become a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, and he bowled impressively well in the death overs of this contest.

11 years ago, Unadkat was a new player in the league, and he was picked up by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru side. Unadkat conceded 37 runs off four overs in that match and scalped two wickets.

    2. Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was at the receiving end of the onslaught by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2013. However, this time, he was a part of the SRH squad that dismantled the Mumbai Indians bowling lineup at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Kumar had conceded just 23 runs in his four overs on that day against RCB.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kumar was quite expensive though as he leaked 53 runs in his four overs. Still, he nailed some of his yorkers well in the end, which helped the Hyderabad-based franchise complete a win.
