Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Pune Warriors joined the Indian Premier League in the year 2011. They made their debuts in IPL 2011, but unlike IPL 2022, where debutants Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants qualified for the playoffs, both KTK and PWI failed to finish in the Top 4 of the IPL 2011 standings.

Due to some off-field issues, Kochi Tuskers Kerala left the IPL after the 2011 season itself. Meanwhile, Pune Warriors played three seasons but finished in the bottom half of the points table every season that they participated in. They left the league before the 2014 season.

Very few players got the chance to play for Kochi Tuskers and Pune Warriors compared to the other teams in the league. However, there were two players who managed to earn contracts from both of the franchises. Here’s a list of those two names:

    1. Raiphi Gomez – Only player in IPL history who played for both Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Pune Warriors

All-rounder Raiphi Gomez did not have a lengthy IPL career. However, in his brief career, he managed to accomplish a unique feat. He is the only player to receive a cap of both Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Pune Warriors. In 2011, he played 11 matches for Kochi, scoring 46 runs and scalping five wickets.

Next season, he moved to Pune Warriors. He remained with Pune till 2013 and played two matches. In those two games, he scored four runs off the only delivery he faced and conceded five runs in the only over he bowled.

    2. Steve Smith

Steve Smith was one of the men who captained the Pune Warriors team in IPL. He came into the limelight after his good performances for Pune. Before that, he was with KTK in 2011 but did not play any matches in that season.
