Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have been the oldest rivals in IPL history. The two teams started their rivalry in 2008, and they even contested the maiden final played in the league’s history. CSK vs RR rivalry will reignite this Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Rajasthan Royals will be in a comfortable position because they need just one win to qualify for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings are in a virtual do-or-die situation. If they suffer another defeat, the Super Kings will find it extremely difficult to make it to the next round of the tournament.

1. Ravindra Jadeja has won the IPL trophy with CSK and RR
The only Indian to feature on the list is Ravindra Jadeja. The left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder was a member of the Rajasthan Royals squad that won the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League back in 2008. After four years, he joined the Chennai Super Kings, and since then, he has won the IPL trophies in 2018, 2021 and 2023.
Jadeja was the hero for the Chennai Super Kings in the 2023 IPL Final. When CSK needed 10 runs off two balls, he hit a six and a four against GT’s Mohit Sharma.
2. Shane Watson
Another all-rounder to feature on the list is Shane Watson. The former Australian skipper even captained the Rajasthan Royals at one point in his career. He won the IPL 2008 and 2018 trophies with RR and CSK, respectively. Notably, Watson smashed a century in the 2018 season’s final against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
