India’s new kit for the T20 World Cup 2024 has been revealed. Unlike the last few T20 World Cups, the kit designers have opted for an orange color in the kit this year. The back shoulder area has orange color, while the primary front color continues to be blue.
There are three stripes of white color on the orange shoulders stripes. Overall, this jersey is giving a similar vibe as the away kit of the 2019 Cricket World Cup. In that edition of the mega event, the Indian team donned that away jersey for the match against England. It was a forgettable game for the Indian team as the Men in Blue and Orange lost against the home side.
In the last two T20 World Cups, India wore a dark blue kit in 2021 and a combo of dark and light blue in 2022. In 2021, India failed to reach the semifinals, while in 2022, the team lost by 10 wickets in the semifinal match against England.
Fans had mixed views to this jersey. While some fans adored the kit, and they felt it was giving the same vibe as the 2019 World Cup away kit. However, some fans opined that it was a little outdated.
