It is quite rare to see a bowler holding the Purple Cap owning the record for the highest sixes conceded in the tournament as well. However, Chennai Super Kings’ uncapped pace bowler Tushar Deshpande has achieved this unwanted record.
He is currently at the top of the bowlers’ leaderboard in the Purple Cap race. Meanwhile, Deshpande has also conceded 21 sixes to opposition batters, which is the most by any bowler so far this season.
