Major League Cricket does not follow the IPL rules, where there should be seven local players and four foreigners. There can be a maximum of six foreign players in the playing XI of MLC teams. The rest five should be local Americans.

Since cricket is not that popular among local Americans, cricketers from nations like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand have moved to USA and are playing as Americans in MLC 2024. In fact, the following three names first represented Pakistan in international matches and are now playing as Americans in Major League Cricket.
