SA20 League will begin tomorrow, but it will not feature a team owned by the RCB franchise. The inaugural tournament of South Africa’s new T20 league features six teams that are owned by the IPL franchises only. The six team owners are Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants and SunRisers Hyderabad.

Their team names in SA20 are MI Cape Town, Jo’burg Super Kings, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, Durban’s Super Giants and SunRisers Eastern Cape. Like the Indian Premier League, there was a player auction in the SA20 League.

Although RCB is not a part of the SA20 tournament, three players from the Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2023 squad will play in this competition. Here’s a list of those three names:

    1. RCB captain Faf du Plessis will lead Jo’burg Super Kings in SA20

Faf du Plessis was the backbone of the Chennai Super Kings batting lineup in the IPL for many years. However, he did not receive a contract from the CSK franchise for the 2022 season. Chennai tried to sign him, but the Royal Challengers Bangalore outbid them. RCB signed him and named him as their new skipper.

RCB do not own a franchise in SA20, but CSK do, and the Jo’burg Super Kings not only signed du Plessis but also named him as the captain.

    2. New RCB player Will Jacks will play in SA20

Batting all-rounder Will Jacks, who is being touted as the next Glenn Maxwell of Bangalore, has earned a contract in SA20 as well. Jacks earned a deal from the Pretoria Capitals team, which is owned by GMR Sports, owners of DC.

    3. Reece Topley

Another new player of Royal Challengers Bangalore who will be in action in SA20 is Reece Topley. The left-arm fast bowler from England will represent the Durban’s Super Giants, owned by the Goenka group.
