Gujarat Titans have been one of the most impressive franchises in the cricket leagues. The Titans made their debut in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The Ahmedabad-based franchise impressed straightaway as they won their debut season of IPL while playing under the leadership of Hardik Pandya.
They continued their magnificent performance in their second season as well, finishing runners-up after losing against the Chennai Super Kings in the final. The Gujarat Titans have helped many players realize their full potential in just two years.
Three members of the current GT squad are playing in the ongoing Lanka Premier League tournament in Sri Lanka. Here’s a list of the three names:
1. Gujarat Titans all-rounder Dasun Shanaka
Dasun Shanaka is one of the top T20 players in the world. However, he remained unsold at the 2022 and 2023 Indian Premier League auctions. Shanaka made his IPL debut as a replacement signing for the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023. He did not have the best debut season. Shanaka is currently captaining the Galle Titans in LPL 2023.
2. Gujarat Titans batter David Miller
South African batter David Miller is one of the best big-hitters in T20 cricket. The left-handed batter first came into the limelight while playing for the Punjab Kings team in IPL. After a decline in his performances, Miller came back to his best while playing for the Gujarat Titans. Miller is currently a member of the Jaffna Kings team in LPL 2023.
3. Matthew Wade
Australian wicketkeeper batter Matthew Wade did not get a single chance to play in this year’s IPL but he was a part of the Gujarat playing XI that defeated the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022 season’s final. Wade is one of the four wicketkeepers of the Dambulla Aura squad in the ongoing Lanka Premier League.
