While the BCCI has tried its best to give an appropriate number of matches to each city and stadium, the following three venues have missed out on matches of Team India despite receiving the hosting rights for other matches. Here is a list of three Indian stadiums that have hosted ODI matches but the games did not feature the Men in Blue.

    1. Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, Patna

It has been quite some time since Patna’s Moin-ul-Haq Stadium hosted a cricket match. According to reports, the stadium is under renovation right now. Back in 1993, the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium hosted an ODI match between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Three years later, Kenya battled Zimbabwe in a World Cup match on this ground.

    2. Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground, Greater Noida

Not many fans would know that the Afghanistan cricket team once played at the Greater Noida Sports Complex as their home ground. They hosted five ODIs at that stadium, with all five of them taking place in the series against Ireland of March 2017.

It was a highly competitive series, where the Afghanistan cricket team emerged victorious by a scoreline of 3-2. Team India is yet to play an ODI at the Greater Noida Sports Complex.

    3. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Dehradun

Dehradun’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has also served as a neutral host for the Afghanistan cricket team. In February 2019, the Afghanistan cricket team played a three-match ODI series against the Ireland cricket team and won the series by 3-0.

Thus, these are the three venues in India which have played host to ODI cricket matches, but are yet to host an ODI involving Team India.
