As per a recent statement by a BCCI official, the IPL 2025 season will start with a mega auction. The last time fans saw a mega auction in the IPL, the Royals ended up forming a really strong squad, which took them to their first final in 14 years.

1. Rajasthan Royals will retain Sanju Samson
Wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson was one of the many young talents unearthed by the Royals. He made his debut a decade ago, and he is currently the captain of the team. Considering that RR made it to the final in 2022 while playing under Sanju’s leadership, the Jaipur-based franchise should retain him for the next season.
2. Yuzvendra Chahal
Not many fans would expect Yuzvendra Chahal to appear here, but the leg-spinner is the highest wicket-taker in the league’s history. Chahal has made a name for himself with his brilliant bowling performances, even on flat tracks. Expect him to play a match-winner’s role for the Royals in the coming years as well.
3. Yashasvi Jaiswal
The Royals raised many eyebrows when they retained Yashasvi Jaiswal ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. At that time, he was an uncapped player, but he has established himself as one of the best cricketers in India right now. It should not be a surprise if the Royals retain him for the next edition.
