Some of the current Indian stars like Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar and KL Rahul came into the limelight while playing for the RCB team in the IPL. In the last two years alone, three new players from the Bangalore squad have been selected for the Indian team. In this listicle now, we will look at those three names.

    1. RCB all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed

Left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed earned his maiden national call-up for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series against the Zimbabwean cricket team. Ahmed has been a part of the Bangalore-based franchise for the last few seasons.

    2. Former RCB opener Devdutt Padikkal

Left-handed batter Devdutt Padikkal became a well-known name in Indian cricket after his exploits for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020 and 2021. He won the Emerging Player of the Season award and soon broke into the Indian squad for the series against the Sri Lankan cricket team.

    3. Harshal Patel

IPL 2021 Purple Cap winner and Most Valuable Player award winner Harshal Patel received his maiden national call-up after the ICC T20 World Cup last year. Patel revived his career after some excellent performances for Bangalore in the IPL. Unfortunately, he has suffered an injury and is unlikely to play in this year’s ICC T20 World Cup.
