From 2022 onwards, CSK team owners started to expand their fanbase in different nations. They first invested in the South African T20 League, named SA20, where they bought the Joburg Super Kings team. Soon after, they invested in USA’s T20 League, named Major League Cricket, where they bought the Texas Super Kings team.

Three former members of the CSK squad in IPL no longer play for them in the Indian Premier League, but they continue to don the yellow jersey in the other leagues.
