IPL Auction happens once in every year, where the top cricketers around the world participate. A majority of the top-quality players already have IPL deals to their name. Since the franchises retain them, those players do not go under the hammer in the auction. However, there are still many talented players who register themselves for the auction.

Because of the squad size rules in IPL, not every player who registers for the auction makes it to the final team. Quite a few overseas players also remain unsold at the auctions.

Some of the unsold players have displayed their talent at the international level and then produced a match-winning performance against the Indian team. Here’s a list of the three names:

    1. Travis Head went unsold in IPL Auction 2023

Australian batter Travis Head recently remained unsold at the mini auction which happened in December 2022. He is one of the best middle-order batters in the world, who performed decently in the away series against Team India. However, none of the 10 franchises signed him at the auction. 2. Mehidy Hasan Miraz has remained unsold in IPL Auction

Bangladeshi all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has also failed to earn an IPL deal despite performing well in international cricket. The spin-bowling all-rounder came into the limelight when his all-round brilliance helped Bangladesh defeat India 2-1 in a three-match ODI series last year.

    3. Tom Latham

New Zealand’s wicket-keeper batter Tom Latham has registered his name in the auctions multiple times. Despite having a great record against India and a good experience of playing in Indian conditions, the New Zealand player has failed to land a deal. He has played multiple match-winning knocks against India, with one of his best ones coming in the ODI series against India last year.
