1. Rohit Sharma
The Indian captain Rohit Sharma was part of the Indian squad that won the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa. He made his debut in the game against England, in which Yuvraj Singh smashed six sixes but didn’t bat. In the next match against South Africa, he got a chance to bat and smashed his maiden fifty off 40 balls. Rohit scored 88 runs in the three innings he batted and was part of the World Cup-winning team.
2. Virat Kohli
The former Indian captain Virat Kohli was India’s fifth-highest run scorer in the 2011 World Cup, which India won. He scored 282 runs in nine innings at an average of 35.25. Virat scored a century in his debut World Cup innings against Bangladesh. He also played an important knock of 35 runs and added 83 runs with Gautam Gambhir for the third wicket when India lost two quick wickets in the final against Sri Lanka.
3. Ravi Ashwin
Veteran Indian spinner Ravi Ashwin was also part of India’s squad that won the 2011 World Cup at home. He played two matches and took four wickets at an economy rate of 4.65. However, India didn’t include him in the World Cup squad, but his entry into the ODI series against Australia and an injury to Axar Patel indicate that Ashwin has a fair chance of playing in the upcoming World Cup in India.
