In the Hundred, Sam represents Oval Invincibles. He has featured in only two games for the franchise. The left-arm seamer was good with the ball as he picked two wickets in as many games and has stepped up in pressure situations.

Sam Curran is in England’s Test squad to face India. So, he won’t be taking any further part in the Hundred. The Invincibles will surely miss his services for the rest of the competition.

    3. Imran Tahir

Imran Tahir is playing for CSK in the IPL for the past two seasons. The ever-enthusiastic leg-spinner has been good for the Chennai franchise in the IPL. Tahir overall has played 59 IPL matches and has picked 82 wickets at an average of 20.76.

The veteran represents Birmingham Phoenix in the inaugural edition of the Hundred. As a frontline spinner, Tahir hasn’t had the best of the starts to the 100-ball competition. He has picked two wickets in four games so far at a higher average of 57. Leading the spin attack, he will be eager to change fortunes in the upcoming games.

Tahir has enough experience at the highest level and will be eager to use it and contribute to the team’s cause.

    4. Faf du Plessis

The former South African captain Faf du Plessis has been an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings since 2019. Opening the batting for them, he has been brilliant for them for the past three seasons. The right-handed batsman has played 32 matches for CSK so far and scored 1165 runs. It includes 11 half-centuries.

The Northern Superchargers bought du Plessis for the inaugural edition of the Hundred. He replaced Aaron Finch and was due to captain the side, but he was ruled out of the opening games of the competition. Faf suffered a concussion while fielding during the PSL T20 match in June. He had prolonged effects of the concussion, due to which he was unable to start for the Northern Superchargers.

Faf du Plessis will be monitored closely by the medical team and he will take part in the Hundred once he recovers fully. He will be eager to recover quickly and be a part of the showpiece event.
