This league has helped many youngsters explore their full potential and become superstars of world cricket. At the same time, the IPL teams have not been free from controversies. Several decisions taken by the team hurt fans a lot. Here’s a list of four such decisions.

    1. One of the most famous IPL teams – Royal Challengers Bangalore released Yuzvendra Chahal

Star Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently disclosed that when the Royal Challengers Bangalore released him in 2021, no one reached out to him before that. Plus, he did not even make any special demands. Yet, the team released him and preferred Wanindu Hasaranga over him. Chahal is the highest wicket-taker for RCB and played more than 100 matches for them.

    2. One of the most famous IPL teams – Chennai Super Kings did not give farewell to Suresh Raina

CSK not retaining Suresh Raina before IPL 2022 made sense because he had retired from international cricket and was not playing domestic cricket regularly. However, CSK let him go unsold at the auction. Even though Chennai have bought teams in SA20 and MLC, they have not signed Raina for any tournaments.

    3. David Warner and SRH

The fight between David Warner and Sunrisers Hyderabad team management is well-known. After a poor start to IPL 2021, Warner commented that the selectors decision to drop Manish Pandey was harsh. Soon after, SRH sacked Warner and dropped him from the playing XI. He was even excluded from the squad and watched matches from hotel room in the end.

    4. Yuvraj Singh and Punjab Kings

Yuvraj Singh captained Punjab Kings in 2008 and led the team to the semis. In 2009, PBKS did not qualify for the semis. Singh soon lost his captaincy and in 2011, the team released him. After retirement, Singh disclosed he wanted to run away from Punjab because the team management did not listen to him, and they signed all players whom Yuvraj wanted after he left the team.
