Some major names of Indian cricket, including some players who featured in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League are playing in the tournament. In this listicle now, we will look at the four players who did not impress much in IPL 2022 but have done well in the Maharaja Trophy.

    1. Mayank Agarwal is the leading run-scorer in Maharaja T20 Trophy so far

Punjab Kings skipper Mayank Agarwal could not perform well in his first IPL season as a full-time captain of any time. There was a time when Mayank even demoted himself to the middle-order, but he has been on fire in Maharaja Trophy. So far, he has scored 480 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 167.24 for the Bengaluru Blasters.

    3. Karun Nair

Karun Nair got only a few chances to prove himself while playing for the Rajasthan Royals. He could not make the most out of them and was subsequently dropped. Nair has scored 257 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of close to 150 for the Mysuru Warriors.

    4. Shreyas Gopal

Leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal played only a solitary game for the SunRisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022, where he bowled a forgettable spell. Gopal has taken 16 wickets in 12 matches for the Mysuru Warriors thus far.
