2. D’Arcy Short – 257
D’Arcy Short is one of the top batters in Australian cricket right now. While he could not make it big in the IPL, he has been performing well in Australia’s domestic tournaments. Playing for Western Australia in a match against Queensland at Sydney, Short smashed 257 runs. He hit 15 fours and 23 maximums.
3. Narayan Jagadeesan – 277
The latest entrant on this list is Narayan Jagadeesan. Playing for Tamil Nadu in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Arunachal Pradesh, Narayan scored 277 runs. He is the new owner of the record for the most runs by a player in a 50-over match.
4. AD Brown – 268
AD Brown was the first player to score 250 in 50-over cricket. He accomplished the feat back in 2002. Playing for Surrey against Glamorgan at the Oval, Brown raced to 268 runs off 160 balls, hitting 30 fours and 12 sixes.
