Under his leadership, the Men in Blue achieved a lot of success. Quite a few players made their debuts under Dhoni, but interestingly, the following four Indian ODI players called it a day on their international careers before the captain in their first ODI did it on August 15, 2020.

    1. Manpreet Gony made debut under MS Dhoni in 2008

Former Indian pacer Manpreet Gony made his debut against Hong Kong in Asia Cup 2008. He played two matches in that tournament, picking up two wickets. Asia Cup 2008 proved to be the only tournament of Manpreet’s international career. He retired from all formats of cricket in June 2019.
