Kochi Tuskers Kerala finished in the middle-muddle of the IPL 2011 points table and did not qualify for the next round. Soon after the season ended, the BCCI terminated the franchise due to off-field reasons. Big names like Mahela Jayawardene, VVS Laxman, Michael Klinger, Sreesanth and Ramesh Powar played for the franchise.

Some of the KTK squad members even represented the Mumbai Indians in their IPL careers. Here’s a list of four such players.

    1. Parthiv Patel played for Kochi Tuskers Kerala and MI

Former Indian wicket-keeper batter Parthiv Patel not just played for KTK, but he also led the franchise in one of the matches. Patel later moved to MI in 2015 and won a couple of trophies with the team. He works as a batting coach for the Mumbai Indians-owned MI Emirates team in the International League T20 tournament now.

Another former Indian cricketer to feature on the list is R Vinay Kumar. The fast bowler played for KTK and then joined MI in his career. Like Parthiv Patel, Kumar is a coaching staff member of MI Emirates in ILT20 now.

    3. Thisara Perera

Former Sri Lankan cricket team captain Thisara Perera did not have a long stint with any of the franchises. KTK and MI were two of the franchises that showed trust in him but did not give him the long rope.

    4. RP Singh

Former Indian left-arm pacer RP Singh was among the few players who played in all 14 matches for the Kerala-based franchise. Singh later moved to Mumbai Indians.
