Sunrisers Hyderabad team management will already be looking forward to the IPL 2024 Auction. Currently, SRH holds the 10th position in the standings, having registered only four wins in 13 matches. If they lose their last match against the Mumbai Indians, Hyderabad will take the wooden spoon home in IPL 2023.
After the IPL 2023 Auction ended, many fans felt that the Hyderabad-based franchise had a strong squad which was a ‘dark horse’ to win the title. However, the Orange Army failed to live up to the expectations. The team owners and coaches did their job well, but the team’s players could not match the expectations.

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad may not retain Kartik Tyagi for IPL 2024
Having too many options in the squad is also a problem sometimes. SRH have too many pace options in their squad, and one of them is Kartik Tyagi. The rising star has not been quite impressive in the SRH colors, which is why the team management may let go of him.
2. Sunrisers Hyderabad may not retain Washington Sundar for IPL 2024
Washington Sundar has been an injury-prone player. He remained wicketless in six matches of IPL 2023. Finally, when he took three wickets in his seventh game, he got injured. SRH invested a lot of money in Sundar, which is why they may think twice before retaining him.
3. Mayank Agarwal
Another Indian player on whom SRH spent a lot of money was Mayank Agarwal. It has been a long time since fans saw a special knock from Agarwal’s bat. His poor form may lead to his release.
4. Harry Brook
SRH raised quite a few eyebrows when they signed Harry Brook for 13.25 crore. While Brook did score a hundred against KKR, he failed in a majority of the games. SRH may release him and buy him back for a cheaper amount.
