T20 World Cup is the most prestigious tournament played at the international level in the shortest format of the game. The International Cricket Council organizes the event once in every two or four years, where teams from different parts of the world compete against each other to become the world T20 champions.

It is the dream of almost every cricketer to win the T20 World Cup once. While quite a few cricketers have achieved this feat, not many fans would remember that the following four cricketers were also part of the championship winning teams.

    1. Ajit Agarkar won T20 World Cup 2007

Former Indian all-rounder Ajit Agarkar did not have a long T20I career, but he was a part of the Indian squad that lifted the inaugural T20 WC title in South Africa in 2007. Agarkar played three matches in the tournament, scalping one wicket. Interestingly, he never played a T20I game after the T20 WC 2007.

    2. Piyush Chawla won T20 World Cup 2007

Indian leg-spinner Piyush Chawla was a member of the squad that won the T20 WC in South Africa as well, but the leg-spinner did not get a chance to play. In fact, he had not even made his T20I debut before earning a place in the squad. Chawla made his debut in T20 WC 2010, three years after winning his first world title.

    3. James Tredwell, 2010

Another leg-spinner to feature on the list is James Tredwell. Like Chawla, he did not make his T20I debut before being picked in the England squad. Tredwell won T20 WC 2010 and then made his T20I debut in 2012.

    4. Shahzaib Hasan, 2009

Pakistan selected young opener Shahzaib Hasan in the squad for the T20 WC in 2009. The Men in Green won that tournament, and Hasan opened the batting for them in the final, scoring 19 runs off 23 balls. Hasan played his career’s last match in 2010.
