There were some capped Indian stars whose names did not even go under the hammer at the event. It would have been disappointing for them to have faced this situation.

    1) Sid Kaul

Sid Kaul is one player who has actually been in good form in domestic cricket in recent years. For the experience he has, a few teams could have gone behind him. However, surprisingly, no team was interested in the cricketer. It now needs to be seen if he can make a comeback as a replacement option.

    2) Varun Aaron was one of the shortlisted capped Indian cricketers

Varun Aaron is one of the shortlisted capped Indian cricketers whose names did not come in the auctions. With two bouncers allowed in an over, Varun would have been a good investment for some teams. However, franchises went after younger players. Varun Aaron still has a chance to make a comeback though but as a replacement option.

    3) Barinder Sran

Sran has not been active in domestic cricket for a while now. It was actually a surprise that his name was found in the final shortlist. However, as expected, no team showed interest in him. Franchises went after the likes of Yash Dayal as the left-arm pace option. Hence, Sran did not find a bid.

    4) Hanuma Vihari was also one of the shortlisted capped Indian cricketers

Hanuma Vihari is also one of the shortlisted capped Indians whose names did not come in the auctions. Vihari is an experienced cricketer. However, he still has not done well in the T20 format. This is denying him opportunities in the IPL. Therefore, it was not a surprise that his name did not come up.
