Sunrisers Hyderabad had a forgettable IPL season in the year 2023. Despite having one of the best squads on paper, The Orange Army failed to qualify for the playoffs. Playing under the captaincy of Aiden Markram, the Hyderabad-based franchise finished 10th in the 10-team points table, managing only four victories in 14 matches.
SRH had some of the top T20 stars in their squad, but only a few of them could perform consistently. Four players from the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad are playing in the Men’s Hundred 2023 tournament right now, which began on August 1. Here’s a list of the four names.
1. Sunrisers Hyderabad finisher Glenn Phillips
Glenn Phillips will always have a special place in the hearts of the Sunrisers fans because of the way he scored 25 runs off eight balls against the Rajasthan Royals. Phillips is a part of the Welsh Fire team in Men’s Hundred 2023. He will share the dressing room with former SRH star Jonny Bairstow.
2. Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner Adil Rashid
England leg-spinner Adil Rashid got an opportunity to play for the Orange Army in this year’s IPL tournament. Rashid could not impress much in the few games that he played. He will play for the Northern Superchargers in Men’s Hundred 2023.
3. Heinrich Klaasen
South African wicket-keeper batter Heinrich Klaasen was the best performer with the bat for the Sunrisers in IPL 2023. He scored a magnificent ton against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Klaasen was in brilliant touch in USA’s Major League Cricket as well. Now, he will don the Oval Invincibles jersey in Men’s Hundred 2023.
4. Harry Brook
Harry Brook recorded a century for SRH in IPL 2023 as well. He was pretty inconsistent though and could not cement his place in the team. Brook is a teammate of Adil Rashid at the Northern Superchargers in Men’s Hundred 2023.
