Trinbago Knight Riders are one of the six teams participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2024). As the name of the team suggests, the Trinbago team is the sister franchise of the defending champions of IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders.
The top Caribbean stars of KKR, namely Sunil Narine and Andre Russell, are a part of the TKR squad in CPL 2024. Apart from that, the Trinbago team features some other extraordinary talents as well. Here’s a list of the four TKR players whom KKR should target at the IPL 2025 Auction.
1. Trinbago Knight Riders opener Jason Roy
Jason Roy was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders team in IPL 2023, but he pulled out of the 2024 season. If the English opener makes himself available for the next season, KKR should try to re-sign him because he can destroy any bowling attack of the world, especially at the Eden Gardens.
2. Trinbago Knight Riders seamer Joshua Little
Irish pacer Joshua Little played a major role in Gujarat Titans’ journey to the IPL 2023 Final. However, he did not receive too many chances in IPL 2024, but in the match against RCB, Little bagged four wickets. It shows he has the talent, and that’s why Kolkata should sign him.
3. Ali Khan
In IPL 2020, Ali Khan became the first American player to earn an IPL deal when KKR signed him as a replacement. However, Khan could not play any matches due to injury. He is fit and in good form now, which is why KKR should try to get him back.
4. Akeal Hosein
Akeal Hosein is one of the most underrated all-rounders in white-ball cricket. He can bowl in powerplay and smack big shots with the willow in the death overs. Considering his brilliance in T10 cricket, KKR should try him in the IPL as well.
