As the names suggest, three out of the six teams in this competition are under the ownership of IPL franchise owners. There is a possibility that some players, who remained unsold in the recent IPL Auction, may return to the league as replacements if they have a great ILT20 season. Here’s a list of four unsold players of IPL 2024 who can join as replacements if they perform well in ILT20:

    1. Unsold in IPL, Colin Munro is captain of Desert Vipers in ILT20 2024

Colin Munro is one of the most destructive batters in the world. He can also bowl medium pace if needed. Having played for Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the past, Munro can make a comeback to the IPL if he has a stellar season as the captain of the Desert Vipers team in ILT20.

    2. Kusal Mendis can make his IPL debut if he has a good season in ILT20 2024

Sri Lankan captain Kusal Mendis is the wicketkeeper of the Sharjah Warriors team in UAE’s T20 competition. Mendis had a great World Cup campaign in India, and he can even feature in IPL if he has a solid outing in ILT20.

    3. Jason Holder

Jason Holder has played for many IPL franchises in the past. However, this year, not a single team bid for him at the auction. Holder is a part of the Dubai Capitals now, and if he impresses the team management, he can even a deal from Delhi Capitals in IPL.

    4. Dasun Shanaka

Another Dubai Capitals all-rounder to feature on this list is former Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka. Gujarat Titans released him ahead of IPL 2024, and then no team signed him. Perhaps, a solid season for DC can change Shanaka’s fortunes in IPL.
