When the BCCI initiated the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the year 2008, many fans believed that the batters would dominate the competition. 14 years have passed, and one can say that the batters have dominated in the IPL more than the bowlers but it is not that the bowlers have had no say at all.

There have been many matches in the Indian Premier League history when the bowlers kept the batters under control. Normally, fans witness raining sixes in the IPL, and some even perceived that the batters can succeed in this format if they know the art of clearing the boundary by taking the aerial route frequently.

However, the same is not true. In the last 14 years of the competition, there have been many successful batters who preferred to play ground strokes, find gaps and score runs at a quick rate. In this article today, we will look at the five batters who smashed 200 fours in the IPL but hit less than 50 sixes.
