Indian cricketers have been quite impress in T20I format since the ICC popularized this format. India won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007. They also made it to the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2016 and 2022, while they finished runners-up in 2014. Besides, India also won Asia Cup T20 in 2016 and lifted the Nidahas Trophy two years later.
While the Indian cricket team has achieved so much success in international cricket, one thing which has remained constant in Indian cricket is change. Because of the intense competition between Indian cricketers for a place in the India team, some of the active cricketers who are yet to retire may have played their last T20I.
1. One of the top Indian cricketers – Umesh Yadav
Fast bowler Umesh Yadav earned a surprise recall to the Indian T20I squad for the home series against Australia last year. He was dropped soon after, and it seems unlikely that he may ever play again.
2. One of the top Indian cricketers – Dhawal Kulkarni
It has been a long time since Dhawal Kulkarni played for India or any IPL franchise. The fast bowler has performed well in domestic matches, but he has not received any opportunities.
3. Siddarth Kaul
Another right-arm fast bowler to feature on this list is Siddarth Kaul. The right-arm pacer made his debut in 2018 and played his last game in 2019. It will be interesting to see if he is recalled to the team in future.
4. Mandeep Singh
Top-order batter Mandeep Singh played three T20Is for India in 2016. Despite his decent performance, Singh was dropped. The experienced Indian star has struggled to perform well of late.
5. Pawan Negi
Pawan Negi has disappeared from the top names of Indian cricket. At one time, he was among the top match-winners, but after playing just one T20I in 2016, Negi has disappeared.
